Cynthia Becker, author of Chipeta: Ute Peacemaker, will give a presentation on Chipeta to the Zebulon Pike Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution.



Feb 3, 2012                                           Denver, Colorado 

Emerita Romero-Anderson, author of Jose Dario Gallegos: Merchant of the Santa Fe Trail, will present a session on "Teaching About Diversity and Tolerance Through Literature" at the CCIRA Conference on Literacy from 11:45-12:45 AM. Emerita's  book, Milagro of the Spanish Bean Pot, resonates with themes of tolerance and cooperation. The CCIRA conference is Feb 1-4 at the Marriott Denver Tech Center.
 


Feb 4, 2012                                           Denver, Colorado

Nancy Oswald, author of Rescue in Poverty Gulch, will present a session on "Donkey Lips and Penny Licks" at the CCIRA Conference on Literacy from 10:30-11:30 AM. Nancy will share the research, photos, and history behind her new novel set in Cripple Creek. The focus will be on connecting fact to good fiction and description. The CCIRA conference is Feb 1-4 at the Marriott Denver Tech Center.
