Author Visits:

Many Filter Press authors are able to provide outstanding programs for schools, historical societies, bookstores, and other groups. At left Jean Cook, author of John Wesley Powell: Soldier Explorer Scientist, is enjoying a visit to Discovery School in Colorado Springs last winter.

Debra Faulkner (Touching Tomorrow: The Story of Emily Griffith) and John Stansfield (Enos Mills: Rocky Mountain Naturalist) perform as historical characters in costune.

Joyce Lohse, author of Unsinkable: The Molly Brown Story and other Filter Press titles, is an engaging speaker at geneological and historical events.

Mary Peace Finley (Meadow Lark and other titles), Lydia Griffin (Prunes and Rupe), and Gail Haley (Kokopelli Drum in Belly) offer excellent programs for school visits.

You may contact the authors directly for information about scheduling an event. You may also use the Contact Us form for Filter Press, and we can put you in touch with the author.
