October 8-9 Loveland, Colorado Filter Press will exhibit again this year at the 2010 annual conference of the Colorado Association of Libraries. The conference will be held at the Embassy Suites Hotel, located at 4705 Clydesdale Parkway in Loveland. The exhibit hall is open all day on Friday, October 8, and from 8-11:00AM on Saturday.
October 15-17, 2010 Wickenburg, Arizona Filter Press publisher and editor Doris Baker will join a panel of authors and editors discussing Working Relationships at the 16th annual Women Writing the West Conference at Rancho de los Caballeros in Wickenburg, Arizona.
November 6, 2010 Denver, Colorado The Filter Press Harvest of Books event will return after a one-year absence. The celebration of Colorado books and authors will be held in Denver this year at the Molly Brown Summer House Museum and Event Center at 2690 South Wadsworth Blvd in Denver. Return to top

Submission Guidelines:
We invite submissions of manuscripts or proposals for works that are consistent with our publishing focus. For book proposals, we will consider and advise if the work looks appropriate, but we make no publishing commitments until a book is complete. Please submit in hardcopy (not a computer disk) to our address below. If you need return of the material, please provide self-addressed, stamped envelope.
We often have a backlog of manuscripts to evaluate, so it can be several months before we give you a decision on publication.
After contracting with the author to publish, Filter Press needs at least six months for editing, layout and design, and printing. Since we publish only four to six titles each year, and normally have several in progress, the elapsed time for seeing the book in print may be 12-18 months. Return to Top
