February 3-6, 2010 Denver, Colorado Filter Press will exhibit at the 2010 CCIRA Conference on Literacy at the Marriott Denver Tech Center, located right off I-25 & Belleview, at 4900 S. Syracuse Street. The exhibits are open on Friday, Nov. 20, from 8:00 until 5:30 and on Saturday, Nov 21, from 8:00 until 1:00. Publisher Doris Baker will lead a session on "Five - No Six! - Ways to Pay for Author School Visits" on Friday, Feb. 5.

Submission Guidelines:
We invite submissions of manuscripts or proposals for works that are consistent with our publishing focus. For book proposals, we will consider and advise if the work looks appropriate, but we make no publishing commitments until a book is complete. Please submit in hardcopy (not a computer disk) to our address below. If you need return of the material, please provide self-addressed, stamped envelope.
We often have a backlog of manuscripts to evaluate, so it can be several months before we give you a decision on publication.
After contracting with the author to publish, Filter Press needs at least six months for editing, layout and design, and printing. Since we publish only four to six titles each year, and normally have several in progress, the elapsed time for seeing the book in print may be 12-18 months. Return to Top
